WACS Engagement Summary - Short Term Improvements

During the fourth round of outreach, conducted fully online, the community was asked to rank the importance and urgency of a number of short term improvements. Four locations were asked about that meet several criteria: they have METRO bus stops adjacent to them, they do not have a safe crossing nearby, and mid-block crossings could be implemented without interrupting vehicular operations.

214 people responded to the survey. Over half of people who responded to the survey live in 77007, while many others live in the nearby zip codes

Overall, people believe safer pedestrian crossings are needed at all intersections, but the most urgent were at Jackson Hill Street and Schuler Street.
