Please review the potential actions below and let us know if you would support initiatives in that area.

1.

Promote Sustainable Agricultural Practices

Offer educational programs and technical assistance on low-emission farming practices and efficient fertilizer use.
Provide incentives for agriculture technologies that reduce nitrous oxide emissions from fertilizer application.
Fund the adoption of electric agricultural equipment and methane-reducing anaerobic digesters to capture emissions and generate renewable energy.
2.

Enhance Urban and Community-Level Nature-Based Solutions

Launch tree planting and green space initiatives in urban areas to raise awareness and improve local air quality.
Promote the transition to electric landscaping equipment.
Develop and fund urban afforestation and green infrastructure projects (e.g., green roofs, rain gardens, community gardens, urban forests).
Implement city-wide policies that integrate urban forestry into development plans.
3.

Restore and Reclaim Natural and Degraded Lands

Identify and assess degraded or underutilized lands suitable for restoration projects.
Fund pilot projects for brownfield redevelopment or soil health restoration.
Scale up restoration programs for degraded lands to grow, process, and distribute agricultural products locally.
4.

Protect and Enhance Coastal and Forested Carbon Sinks

Partner with local environmental groups to promote awareness of wetlands and forest conservation benefits.
